Cover Letter:
I am Urooj Fatimah, and I have recently completed my Master’s in Biotechnology securing I Division with Distinction from Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi.
The purpose of this correspondence is to express my interest in working under your supervision.
During my six months dissertation period, I have explored the lipidomics in Blast-induced Traumatic Brain Injury via LC/MS under the supervision of Dr. Poonam Rana, INMAS, DRDO. The thesis entitled ”Analysis of lipidomic alterations in blood post Blast-induced Traumatic Brain Injury” was solely focused on different altered lipids in the plasma of rats of control versus mild injury group.
As a Biotechnology student, I have a multidisciplinary background that fits your ongoing research. My experience involved various hands-on experiments, literature review and scientific writing. I have gained experience in animal (rodents- rats & mice) handling and care, urine and blood collection, extraction of lipids and metabolites from samples, sample preparation and running of LC/MS, data annotation, statistical analysis, western blotting, immunohistochemistry (IHC), ELISA, SDS-PAGE, Agarose gel electrophoresis, Hot-start PCR and antioxidant assays.
