Currently I am doing a project in (plant pathology) under Dr Usman HOD botany department, KAHM Unity women’s college, Manjeri, Kerala (INDIA).

MENTOR FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS AT AN ED-TECH COMPANY (BYJUS THE LEARNING APPLICATION)
Byjus the learning application
Jul 2021 – Jan 2022

I took job in 2020 in an Ed tech company as student mentor for high school students (helping them with academic doubts) now I am planning to pursue my PhD which is my aim. Job was work from home due to the pandemic.

POST GRADUATION (CALICUT UNIVERSITY)
Zamorins Guruvayurappan College, Calicut, India 2018-2020
Msc botany: [hidden]
Research project: Evaluation of ethyl acetate extract of selected sacred grove plants against colletotrichum causing leaf spot on Pongamia pinnata L.

In my post-graduation I got good experience in lab works, pathogen isolation, evaluation of phytochemical components and statistical analysis using MSTAT-C, these were used during my post-graduation project. As my project in PG was related to medicinal plants and its usage to control a pathogen in economically beneficial plants. My project objectives were:

• Taxonomic identification of the pathogen
• Isolation and proving pathogenicity of leaf spot pathogen of P. pinnata.
• Conducted experiments on healthy and diseased plants and analyzed results to determine symptoms and possible preventions.
• Isolated and studied disease-causing agents.
• Formulated procedures, methods, or substances that may prevent disease-causing agents.
• Preliminary phytochemical screening of crude extract of selected mangrove plants.
• In vitro screening of ethyl acetate extract of selected mangrove plants at different concentrations against the leaf spot pathogen of P. pinnata L

According to my research phytochemical screening of the plant showed the presence of phytochemical compounds which played an important role in inhibiting the pathogen in vitro. Many reports are available on management using chemical fungicides but very few are available on the management of the disease using botanicals. By this method, inhibition of the pathogen is not only easily accessible but also environmentally friendly too.
