Cover Letter:
I have recently finished my Integrated BS-MS degree in Biological sciences from IISER Tirupati as well as qualified GATE-XL. I bring a strong foundation in molecular and cell biology coupled with hands-on experience in molecular techniques. I am enthusiastic about the opportunity to contribute to the specified project.
As part of my academic journey, I have developed a strong interest in Cancer research, particularly involved in developing potential therapies and treatment strategy.
During my MS thesis at CSIR-IGIB under Dr. Sonam Dhamija, I worked on developing stable cell line models with oncogenic EGFR/KRAS mutations to study the role of RNA-binding protein KSRP in Lung Cancer. My previous research includes molecular cloning of Plasmodium falciparum proteins and developing RNA-based biosensors for adenosine detection in-vitro. During my academic and research experience, I have developed a strong background in molecular biology and cell biology techniques, including nucleic acid extraction, PCR, cloning, Western blotting, mammalian cell culture handling, and fluorescence microscopy.
Beyond technical competencies, I bring a collaborative and proactive mindset. I thrive in team environments where openness, enthusiasm, and intellectual curiosity are valued. I am particularly motivated by the opportunity to contribute to translational research that could bring positive patient outcomes.
Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to hearing from you.
Warm regards,
Sakshi Gupta
