Cover Letter:

Dear Hiring Manager,

I am writing to express my interest in a position within your esteemed organization where I can contribute as a postgraduate in Biotechnology with hands-on experience in analytical instrumentation, microbiological techniques, and applied research. With a solid academic background and practical exposure to interdisciplinary methodologies, I am enthusiastic about the opportunity to support innovation in biotechnology, particularly in areas of quality control, research, and production.

During my recent project intern at CSIR–Central Food Technological Research Institute, I worked on the characterization of benzoquinones secreted by Tribolium castaneum and developed a nanoemulsion with antifungal properties. This project deepened my experience with GC, GC-MS, HPLC, LCMS DLS, and spectrophotometry while also strengthening my skills in microbial assays and nanoparticle synthesis. I take pride in the fact that this work won first prize in an international conference for its scientific contribution.

I am well-versed in chromatography, microbiological techniques, and sample preparation using advanced instruments like SEM and sonicators. My strong academic performance (CGPA: 8.88 in postgraduation) reflects my dedication and ability to grasp complex concepts, while my internships at the Pasteur Institute of India and Marina Labs further honed my technical and teamwork abilities.

I am eager to bring my skills, passion for innovation, and commitment to excellence to a dynamic team that values sustainable and scientific advancement. I would be grateful for the opportunity to further discuss how my background aligns with your organization’s goals.

I look forward to the opportunity to speak with you further.

Warm regards,
S. Manikannan
