Isolation, Purification, and Characterization of bioactive molecule from Gynura crepidioides plant.

A bioactive molecule, i.e. flavonoid has been isolated from the leaves of Gynura crepidioides plant and the obtained purified compound was subjected to characterization to know the probable structure of that compound.

Methods included:

• Preparation of G. crepidioides leaves powder and sequential extraction.
• TLC (Thin-layer chromatography).
• Proximate analysis.
• Isolation of bioactive molecule.
• Purification.
• Spectral analysis.
