The Hiring Manager

MedGenome Labs

Bangalore, India

Dear Hiring Manager,

I am writing to express my keen interest in the position at MedGenome Labs, as advertised, involving variant analysis and clinical genomics. With an academic foundation of a Master’s in Biomedical Genetics from Vellore Institute of Technology, research experience in mitochondrial genome sequencing, and exposure to bioinformatics pipelines and variant interpretation, I am enthusiastic about contributing to MedGenome’s mission of delivering cutting-edge genomic solutions in precision medicine.

My dissertation project was based on long-read mitochondrial genome sequencing using Nanopore technology, where I was exposed to variant calling, annotation, and clinical correlation. To further strengthen my interdisciplinary skill set, I pursued two specialized training programs: “Coding for Biologists” by BioTecNika, where I worked on a project identifying novel mutations in neurological disorders using AI/ML-based databases under the mentorship of Mr. Pradyot Banerjee and “AI in Drug Designing” by Ciencia Life Sciences: focused on protein-protein interactions, molecular docking, virtual screening, and Python programming with modules in Biopython and basic machine learning. I also explored PROTACs as novel therapeutic agents.

MedGenome’s focus on applying genomics to real-world clinical challenges deeply resonates with my aspirations to work at the intersection of clinical genetics, bioinformatics, and translational research. I am particularly drawn to the opportunity to be part of a cross-functional team and contribute to both diagnostic services and research innovations.

Thank you for considering my application. I would be honored to further discuss how my background and skills can contribute to your team at MedGenome. I am available for an interview at your convenience and look forward to the opportunity.

Warm regards,

Nidugondi Sai Pramoda
