Cover Letter:

Greetings sir/ mam
My name is Mathimala, and I have completed my Master’s degree in Applied Microbiology from Vellore Institute of Technology. As part of my academic training, I undertook a six-month research project at Christian Medical College (CMC), titled “Evaluation of Novel 47kDa Real-Time PCR for Detecting Orientia tsutsugamushi.” This experience provided me with a strong foundation in molecular diagnostics and enhanced my proficiency in PCR techniques and pathogen detection.

Following the completion of my project, I gained an additional six months of work experience at CMC, where I further deepened my practical skills and scientific knowledge. I have a solid understanding of genome sequencing and bioinformatics tools, which I am eager to develop further in a research-driven environment.

With my academic background, research experience, and keen interest in molecular microbiology and genomics, I am enthusiastic about the opportunity to pursue a PhD. I am confident that my skills and dedication will allow me to contribute meaningfully to your research team.

Thank you
Mathimala
