Cover Letter:
My name is Jyoti Bakshi and I am reaching out to express my interest at your organization. As a researcher with over 5 years of research experience, I have gained experience, expertise and knowledge needed to perform high-quality research in the biotechnology and nanotechnology fields. I believe my strong background in nanotechnology and biotechnology; and laboratory equipment, most importantly, needed in different areas of biotechnology. Area of interest: Nanoparticles, Bacteriology, Drug delivery, Molecular biology, cytogenetics My PhD thesis was focused on herbal drug nanoformulations using natural gums. The aim of the work was to improve the biological potential of drug _via _improving bio-availability. The prepared nanoformulations were evaluated using various _in vitro _biological activities such as antimicrobial, antioxidant, anti-diabetic and anti inflammatory. In addition, the anti-inflammatory and anti-obesity activities of the prepared formulation were also evaluated _in vivo_ on carrageenan induced rat paw edema model and high fat diet induced obese rat model, respectively. The expression of genes involved during _in vivo_ anti-inflammatory study was also analyzed using quantitative real time PCR (qRT-PCR). I believe that my previous work experiences, coupled with my extensive knowledge of bacteriology, nanotechnology and biotechnology techniques, would be a great fit for any position or any intership position in your organization. I have approx 1 yr 7 month experience in a bacteriology lab. I look forward to applying the skills I have learned and learning towards this position. My future goals are to expand my research area into bacteriology, drug delivery, cell culture, and various molecular biology techniques, and to learn new techniques to understand, diagnose, and treat diseases.
