Cover Letter:

I am Ganga Sankaranarayanan, an [hidden] Life Science graduate from Ramnarain Ruia Autonomous College, Mumbai.
During my summer training at ICMR-NIRRCH, I gained hands-on experience in DNA isolation from blood samples using both kit-based and phenol-chloroform methods. My work involved PCR optimization, primer design, and MLPA analysis for genetic disorders. I also developed skills in exome data analysis using Galaxy software for variant identification. Additionally, my exposure to genetic counseling sessions has given me valuable insights into the clinical aspects of genetic disorders.
My postgraduate coursework in biotechnology at Ramnarain Ruia College, combined with my practical experience in molecular techniques and bioinformatics tools, aligns well with the position requirements. I have completed specialized genomics and precision medicine courses to strengthen my technical expertise.
My proven experience in genetic research combined with my ability to execute research projects, analyze complex data, and work effectively in team environments make me a strong candidate for this position. I have attached my CV for your reference.
Publications:
1. “Analysis of Sewage Water Quality in and Around Mulund Region of Mumbai, India” – International Journal of Ecology, Environment and Conservation (2023)
2. “Assessment of water quality of different water bodies in and around Mumbai” – (International Journal for Research Trends and Innovation, 2022)
I look forward to discussing how my skills and experience can contribute to your research program. Thank you for considering my application.

Thanks and regards,
Ganga Sankaranarayanan
