Computational Methods in Drug Discovery: The Role of Computer-Aided Drug Design (CADD) in Modern Pharmaceutical Development for Cardiovascular Disease 2025- ongoing

Computer-Aided Drug Design (CADD) is a crucial tool in pharmaceutical research, facilitating the identification and development of therapies for complicated disorders, including cardiovascular disease (CVD). The current study reveals the uses of molecular docking techniques like phytochemical inhibitors targeting the Apco3 enzyme, here we taken the enzyme 6Y43 A-chain structure was identified as a potential CVD-related target. We tested a total of 180 phytochemical compounds using in silico docking methods. This study highlights how phytochemicals, which come from natural sources, can be used in conjunction with computational techniques to help create safer and more effective treatments for cardiovascular diseases. The study’s findings demonstrate the critical role that computational approaches play in modern drug discovery pipelines, offering a strong basis for further experimental validation and potentially advancing clinical applications.

STUDY ON MECENCHYMAL STEM CELLS AND COVID-19 (UG PROJECT)2021

COVID-19 has been rapidly extended through out the world via human-to-human contact. hCoV-19 affects the respiratory tract causes severe pneumonia and other acute respiratory disorders. No antiviral drug is available to treat COVID-19 at present. Aggressive inflammation is believed to cause severe lung damage followed by COVID-19. The immunomodulatory and regenerative properties of mesenchymal stem cells made clinicians to investigate their efficacy against COVID-19 patients suffered from pneumonia. Clinical studies have reported the efficiency of MSCs in COVID-19 management. However, precautions must be taken as MSCs may suppress innate immunoprotective T cells activation. In this review, we discuss the outcomes of the stem cell therapy. COVID-19 patients, nonspecific immunomodulation of MSCs against virus and the possibility of alternative treatment with chimeric antigen receptor engineered hematopoietic stem cells, soluble recombinant human ACE2, and cell-free secreted factors againstCOVID-19.

GC- MS PROFILING OF PHYTOCOMPOUNDS FROM VARIOUS PARTS OF DELONIX ELATA ( L.) GAMBLE: A COMPARATIVE STUDY- 2023

The identification of volatile organic organic compounds from various parts of Delonix elata for extract.A compatitive study from methanolic fractions of leaf, flower and bark extracts in terms of qualitative and quantitative composition was done on Gas chromatography – mass spectrometry ( GC – MS ).The compounds were identified belongs to different classes of organic compounds i.e esters, fatty acids, phenols, sugars, amino acids and hydrocarbons .Most of compounds were present in flowers while some compounds are unique.Hence we determined the total flavonoid content of flower extracts. flavonoids are the dominated compounds when compared to phenolics. Further we determined Nitric oxide radical scavenging assay and superoxide radical scavenging assay activity for all extracts. The flower extract as highest antioxidant activity.Based on those findings ,we suggested D.elata are the potential sources in field of medicines and pharmaceutical sciences which need further investigation.
