COVER LETTER
INTRODUCTION
I am Anusha Gupta, a final-year Bsc. Biotechnology student at Banasthali Vidyapeeth, Jaipur, Rajasthan. With a strong academic foundation and a passion for research and innovation. Biotechnology has always fascinated me with its power to transform lives, promoting healthcare, and contribute significantly to sustainable solutions in agriculture and industry. My deep interest in life sciences, combined with a curiosity for research and innovation, has inspired me. I am eager to explore advanced research techniques, contribute to scientific progress, and develop solutions that address real-world challenges.
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
In Environmental Biotechnology, I have learned isolation of genomic dna from E.coli, COD estimation by water, Chloride content, isolation of rhizobia from root nodules, In animal and plant Biotechnology, I have learned callus culture, isolation of protoplast, isolation of dna from animal tissue, Cell counting, isolation of plant genomic dna by CTAB method. In microbiology, I studied pour plate method, spread plate method, streak plate method, isolation of microorganisms from soil by serial dilutions, gram staining, immunoprecipitation by double diffusion techniques In Advance biotechnology I learned Nano drop, PCR, agarose gel electrophoresis, competent E.coli cells, isolation of Plasmid dna from E.coli, synthesis of nanoparticles.
PRACTICAL EXPOSURE
Throughout my undergraduate studies, I had extensive hands-on training in laboratory techniques such as DNA isolation, RNA isolation, agarose gel electrophoresis, PCR, chromatography, and microbial culturing. Besides, I have also done or completed an internship (DNA LABS, Dehradun) which involves and focuses on tools and techniques for biomedical labs and their applications which involves hands-on experience of machines like NANODROP, CENTRIFUGE AND ITS TYPES, GEL ELECTROPHORESIS, CBC, BIOCHEMISTRY ANALYZER, ELISA, PCR AND ITS TYPES, STREAKING, etc. Worked on various machines based on hemotoanalyzer, CBC, Master mix, ELISA and its type and Isolation of DNA. Also attended workshops related to RT-PCR and Biomedical waste management. Epidemiology, Pathogenesis and its management.
INTERNSHIP GOAL
As a biotechnology student, my goal in pursuing an internship is to gain practical exposure to real-world applications of biotechnological concepts and techniques. An internship will provide me with the opportunity to work alongside professionals, apply my academic knowledge to real-time challenges, and develop essential technical and soft skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, and effective communication. I am particularly interested in exploring areas such as molecular diagnostics, biopharmaceutical production, genetic engineering, or bioinformatics. I believe this experience will not only enhance my academic learning but also prepare me for a research-oriented or industry-based career in biotechnology.
CONCLUSION
In conclusion, my academic foundation, research exposure, and practical experience have collectively shaped my passion for biotechnology and strengthened my commitment to pursue advanced learning in this field. I am eager to deepen my knowledge, expand my skill set, and contribute meaningfully to ongoing scientific and technological advancements. I believe that with the right guidance, environment, and opportunities, I can grow into a competent professional capable of making a significant impact in the field of biotechnology. I look forward to the opportunity to be part of your esteemed institution and take the next step toward achieving my academic and professional goals.
