Cover Letter:

**Anna Mariya P R**
Dear Madam/Sir,
My name is Anna Mariya P R and I am writing to express my interest in the Clinical Research Associate position at Panacea Medical Technologies
Throughout my academic journey, I have consistently demonstrated a strong inclination towards research and academic pursuits. During my Master’s program in Biotechnology at **Pondicherry University, India,** I had the opportunity to engage in an 8 month research project under the guidance of Prof, Dr. N. Sakthivel, where I investigated the ligand interactions, cytotoxic and DNA binding properties of Manganese-based-Carbon Monoxide Releasing Molecules (Mn-CORM7) on cancer cells. This research experience involved conducting in vitro and in silico molecular docking studies to examine the interaction of the compound with DNA. In addition to my research experience, I have also developed hands-on expertise in various laboratory techniques, including cell culture and passaging, maintenance of SKOV-3, MDA-MB-231, and HEK-231 cell lines, DNA and RNA isolation, PCR, live-cell imaging, gel electrophoresis, western blotting, ELISA, Immunofluorescence Assay, FT-IR and operation of instruments such as nanodrop, UV-vis spectrophotometer, fluorescence spectrophotometer, gel doc system, optical and fluorescent microscope. Furthermore, I possess knowledge of bioinformatics tools, including multiple sequence alignment, global and local alignment, UniProt, and protein structure visualization using PDB. I am also proficient in data analysis using GraphPad Prism software and Microsoft Excel. I believe that my academic background, research experience, and laboratory skills have provided me with a strong foundation to pursue further research and academic endeavors.
During my research internship at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, under Dr. Suresh Kumar Department of Biological Sciences and Bioengineering (BSBE), I had the opportunity to investigate the role of autophagy and its underlying mechanisms and pathways in cancer progression. My research focused on exploring the potential of targeting the mTOR pathway in Breast cancer, a key regulator of autophagy, and as a therapeutic strategy for neurodegenerative diseases. This experience deepened my understanding of autophagy’s complex role in disease. Throughout my internship, I acquired hands-on experience with various molecular biology techniques, including: Transformation and plasmid isolation, SDS-PAGE, western blotting, Mammalian cell culture and passaging, Co-immunoprecipitation, Confocal and fluorescence microscopy. These laboratory skills, combined with my research experience, have provided me with a solid foundation to pursue advanced research in molecular biology and my interest in working with cellular models.
I am particularly impressed by Panacea Medical Technologies’ commitment to advancing medical technology and its focus on clinical research. I am eager to learn from your esteemed team and contribute with commitment, precision, and a collaborative spirit. My strong academic foundation, technical proficiency, and high motivation align well with the expectations of your lab. I am confident that my commitment and adaptability make me a strong fit and motivated by the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a team that values innovation, ownership, and rigor. I thrive under pressure and am fully prepared to work irregular hours in pursuit of scientific advancement. My ability to adapt quickly, think critically, and maintain meticulous records will allow me to take progressive responsibility in experiments and support the team’s broader research goals. Additionally, I am comfortable with administrative aspects such as procurement coordination and vendor sourcing, and have regularly engaged in literature reviews to inform hypothesis development and methodology. This opportunity resonates deeply with my long-term goal of contributing to life-saving research in biomedical science.

I believe that the background and coursework from my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in biotechnology, along with the knowledge I have gained from earlier coursework will help me to shape myself into a future scientist to contribute to health of the people. I am eager to expand my skill set by learning new techniques and actively contribute to the team’s success by sharing my insights and collaborating with others. Also, I am eager to learn and develop the necessary skills that I may lack to excel in this role.

I would welcome the opportunity to discuss with you further about my candidacy.
Thank you for considering my application.
Sincerely
Anna Mariya
