Cover Letter:

I completed a Master of Science (MS) in Medical Biotechnology from the University of Illinois at Chicago, USA. After returning, I worked as a Biocurator in a biotechnology company at Pune. I wish to work in the field of biotechnology/molecular biology laboratory research. My interest in biotechnology career is long lasting. For my Master‘s thesis, I worked at Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, MA on the project titled “Optimization Of Epigenome-Editing Tools”. In this project, I worked on the optimization of a DNA targeting module to regulate gene expression in a human cell line. During the project, I acquired the knowledge of different molecular biology techniques. I also worked as a Research Assistant at University of Pennsylvania and assisted in the research project for purification of a protein complex from yeast strain and its transcriptional analysis. In addition, I also worked at geneOmbio Technologies Private Limited, Pune, India for 5 months as an intern. I worked on the project consisting of the development of PCR- Sequencing based method for detection of important single nucleotide polymorphisms in genes having pharmacogenetic significance.
