I’m a post graduate student in Biotechnology from Kerala, India.
I have completed a 6 months internship at Rapture Biotech, Chennai. During this period,I have been introduced to the basics of several key areas. I have gained foundational experience in various aspects of microbiology and utilised my skills in Quality control and Analysis in food biotechnology. I also have been introduced in ensuring the safety and efficacy of products in Pharma Quality Control and Quality Assurance. I also have gained basic knowledge in BLAST, FASTA, ClustaLW, Molecular docking etc.
During my Master’s degree, I had the opportunity to do a project of 3 months duration at Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology, titled “Validation of De-novo Mutation In Pediatric Epileptic Encephalopathy”. During the course of the project, I have gained practical experience in variety of areas such as DNA isolation, Quantification of Nucleic Acids, Primer Designing, Polymerase Chain Reaction, Sanger Sequencing, Agarose Gel Electrophoresis and Capillary Electrophoresis. Apart from this I also did a 7 day project on “CRP, D-dimer and Ferritin variations in Covid-19 patients” as a part of my BSc project.
I am a hardworking and a committed learner. All of the above experiences have given me a solid foundation, preparing me for a solid and more complex experiences in the future.
