Cover Letter:

Dear Sir,
I am writing to express my interest in the Genome Analyst position, as advertised. With a background in biotechnology, molecular biology, and computational biology, combined with hands-on experience in next-generation sequencing (NGS) data analysis and bioinformatics tools, I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to your team’s mission of advancing genomic research and personalized medicine.
I hold an [hidden] in Biotechnology from the National Institute of Technology, Warangal, where I gained extensive experience in molecular biology techniques and cancer research. My master’s dissertation focused on investigating the enhanced anticancer activity of calcium carbonate microparticles under magnetic field exposure, which involved advanced data analysis and interpretation of complex biological datasets. The findings from this research were recently published in the New Journal of Chemistry.
Currently, I am working as a Junior Research Fellow at the Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology, where I am involved in cloning, expression, and structural studies of Chlamydomonas reinhardtii nucleoplasmin. My role involves extensive use of molecular biology techniques, gene expression analysis, and protein function studies. Additionally, I have experience in NGS data analysis of genome and transcriptome datasets, acquired through my bioinformatics training and my internship at IIT Roorkee. During the internship, I gained proficiency in various computational biology tools, including BLAST, pairwise and multiple sequence analysis, and primer design.
I am particularly enthusiastic about this Genome Analyst role as it aligns perfectly with my career aspirations and research interests in genomics and personalized medicine. I am eager to leverage my expertise in NGS data analysis, computational biology, and molecular biology to contribute to your team’s efforts in deciphering complex genomic data and advancing genomic research.
I am confident that my strong analytical skills, combined with my background in biotechnology and bioinformatics, make me a suitable candidate for this position. I am looking forward to the opportunity to discuss my application further and contribute to your team’s innovative research.
Thank you for considering my application. I have attached my CV for your review, and I look forward to the possibility of contributing to your team.
Sincerely,
**Jinan Parvin V M**
