Title: “Hyperglycaemia induced platelet activation and aggregating: Protection by Melatonin”

This study demonstrated the priming of platelets towards activation and aggregation under hyperglycaemia, leading to platelet apoptosis via Mitochondrial dysfunction. Melatonin, a natural hormone and redox modulator, was found to protect against hyperglycaemia-induced platelet dysfunction.
