Cover Letter:

Dear Sir/ma’am,
I am writing to express my sincere interest in working as a scientist at D-NOME Biosciences, Hyderabad, as it has always been my lifelong ambition to do research work at one of India’s leading companies. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology that I completed from the University of Calicut, India, and a Master’s in Biomedical Science from the University of Delhi, India. I strongly believe that my past academics and experiences make me a potential candidate for this role. My experiences helped me to develop good laboratory practice and to learn many crucial techniques such as DNA Cloning, Genetic engineering, PCR, qPCR, Immunological Techniques, and other basic laboratory experiments. So, if I get an opportunity to work in this role, I can further enhance my skills, which will help me to achieve my future endeavors.
Since I’m inquisitive about exploring different Top research labs across the world, for my Master’s Dissertation, I have secured a post at IIT Delhi as a Visiting Student Researcher, under the supervision of Prof. Tapan Kumar Chaudhuri in Chaperone assisted protein folding, protein engineering, and molecular biophysics lab, which will be started from January 2025 and will be completed by June 2025, where I will work with the recombinant production of a Human Serum Albumin using E. coli as a host, It’s characterization, and scaling up. I believe this opportunity will help me to gain exceptional knowledge, skills, and new hands-on experience as well as great research exposure, which will help me to show an outstanding performance in this role.
I worked as a Summer Research Fellow at Bose Institute, Kolkata in the Molecular Oncology lab under the guidance of Dr. Nirmalya Sen with a fellowship from the Next Gen Scientist Foundation (NGSF), I was responsible for working on a project related to the role of ETS Transcription Factors isoform; P27 in the development of Triple-Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC). This work helped me to gain strong knowledge, skills, and hands-on experience in many laboratory techniques such as Mammalian RNA extraction, qPCR, FACS, and Mammalian cell drugging.
While completing my Bachelor’s at the University of Calicut, I worked on the Topic “Isolation and Antimicrobial Evaluation of UTI Causing Bacteria, Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa Using Aqueous Extracts of Boerhavia diffusa” as my Dissertation. Completing this work helped me to find different chemicals present in medicinal plants like Boerhavia diffusa and how those chemicals help to fight against infections like Urinary Tract Infections, where I worked on some basic microbiological and phytochemical techniques.
Looking ahead, I am curious about being a part of your company. Over the past academic and research work, I have shown my potential for coordinated work with my fellows, PhD scholars, and professors. I have engaged in many presentations and career advisory sessions, which have all helped me to explain the scientific concepts and the other concepts I’m trying to convey easily.
I am honored to have an opportunity to work with esteemed scientists and other members like yourself. I’m grateful for considering my application. I am excited about the prospect of joining your firm and contributing my potential. I welcome the opportunity to speak with you at your convenience.
Sincerely,
Hirul Bihijas VT
