**Subject:** Application for Scientist – Molecular Biology
Dear Hiring Manager,
I am writing to express my interest in the Scientist – Molecular Biology position at D-NOME Biosciences, Hyderabad. I have recently submitted my Ph.D. thesis in the Department of Biological Sciences at BITS Pilani–Goa Campus, India, where I specialized in microbiology and mycology, focusing on antifungal drug discovery and mechanisms of resistance in _Candida_ species. Additionally, I hold a Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology from the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Guwahati, India.
During my doctoral research, I purified novel antifungal lipopeptides from _Bacillus_ species using multi-step purification methods, including supernatant collection, acid precipitation, organic solvent extraction, and adsorption chromatography. I further optimized purification processes from semi-preparative scale HPLC to preparative-scale HPLC and have expertise in additional purification techniques such as analytical HPLC, affinity chromatography, size-exclusion chromatography, ion-exchange chromatography, and LC-MS analysis.
In addition, I hold a Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology from the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Guwahati, India. As part of my Master’s dissertation, I have worked in the structural biology lab at IICT, Hyderabad. I gained hands-on experience in recombinant protein purification and hanging-drop crystallization techniques. I am particularly drawn to this recently advertised position role in study coordinator involving the development of SOPs for measuring biomolecules and biological fluids using various analytical techniques to explore new paradigms in nutrition research.
My interdisciplinary skill set, combined with a strong foundation in protein purification, biochemical analysis, and a passion for learning new analytical methods, positions me well to support and contribute meaningfully to this project. Enclosed are my CV as requested. I welcome the opportunity to discuss how my experience and enthusiasm can benefit your research team.
Thank you for considering my application.
