Research Experience
Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biotechnology
Amity University, Noida
July 2020 – June 2025
Thesis Title: Microbial biotransformation of pharmaceutically important indole alkaloids
- Thesis work comprised a microbial biotransformation system developed to transform vinblastine (VBL) and ajmalicine (AJM) into vincristine (VCR) and serpentine (SEP) using endophyte Fusarium equiseti and two bacterial strains Pseudomonas aeruginosa 8485 and Pseudomonas fluorescens 2421.
- Validated anticancer potential of VCR through CAM assay, a widely used model for angiogenesis studies.
