My name is Amman Shafeen, and I am a postgraduate in medical biotechnology from Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences. With hands-on experience in molecular biology and bioinformatics, I am writing to express interest in your esteemed organisation Medgenome and am seeking an opportunity to work in your company specialising in NGS and genomic sequencing.
Previously I was selected for the DBT- BITP programme and have worked as a QC personel in Mrbiologist LLP. During my tenure as a DBT-BITP intern at Mr. Biologist LLP, I was assigned molecular and microbiology department, where I gained proficiency in molecular techniques, including DNA isolation, SDS-PAGE analysis, and antimicrobial activity studies. Additionally, my research on biosurfactant has honed my skills in molecular docking and phylogenetic analysis, aligning closely with NGS-based applications. I have a comprehensive understanding of industrial setup, quality control processes and handling client works.
During my academic coursework I have gained extensive knowledge in Genetic engineering, Recombinant Techniques, DNA isolation techniques, Qualitative and quantitative analysis methods, protein extraction, separation and purification. I have hands-on experience with various instruments including SDS-PAGE, UV-Vis Spectrophotometer, ELISA, PCR etc. I also have worked with various bioinformatics tools including protein modelling and molecular docking, which has helped me learn in-silico analysis of biological data.
I am enthusiastic about applying my expertise in bioinformatics and laboratory techniques to contribute to advancements in genomics at your organization, which is a pioneer in the field of Next Gen sequencing and genomic analysis.
