Hiring Manager
Star Hospitals

Dear Hiring Manager,
I am writing to apply for the Microbiologist position at Star Hospitals. I am currently pursuing my M.Sc. (Hons.) in Biotechnology and have strong hands-on experience in microbiology, molecular biology, and lab-based research. I believe my background fits well with the needs of this role.
At SHRM Biotechnologies Pvt. Ltd., I received training in microbiology techniques such as media preparation, sterilization, serial dilutions, Gram and fungal staining, microbial biochemical tests, enzyme production, immobilization, and quality testing of food, water, and milk. This gave me a strong foundation in both theoretical knowledge and practical lab work related to microbiology.
As part of my master’s dissertation at NIBMG, I am working on inflammation-related disease models using zebrafish. Here, I’ve used techniques like PCR/qPCR, protein/RNA isolation, western blotting, and confocal microscopy—skills important for analyzing microbial responses and molecular mechanisms.
I also trained at IISER Kolkata, where I worked with histopathology, microscopy, and analytical techniques, improving my precision and lab discipline. Alongside my wet-lab work, I have gained some experience in computational biology through short-term workshops in multi-omics, molecular docking, and genomic data science, which help me understand microbial data from both experimental and digital perspectives.
I am sincere, detail-oriented, and eager to learn more in a clinical environment. I am confident that my training and passion for microbiology would allow me to contribute meaningfully to your team at Star Hospitals.
Thank you for considering my application. I have attached my resume and would be happy to provide any further information.

Sincerely,
Diganta Roy
